Triangular operations in logistics are trade transactions that involve three parties from different countries, facilitating the distribution and sale of goods without them having to physically pass through the country of the intermediary seller. This type of operation
is common in international trade and enables logistics processes to be optimised, reducing costs and shipping times. In a triangular operation, the intermediary (often called the operator of the triangle) purchases the products from a supplier and sells them to an end customer, but the goods are sent directly from the supplier to the customer. This requires careful coordination and efficient handling of customs and tax documentation in order to comply with the legislation of the countries involved.
